FarmerJawn isn’t just about growing food—it’s about growing power. For too long, Black and Brown communities have been excluded from land ownership, healthy food access, and the economic benefits of agriculture. FarmerJawn is reclaiming farming as a tool for justice, offering regenerative food production, organic food access, education, business incubation, and cultural programming that redefines what it means to be a farmer today.

Why We Partnered

ALBC was brought in to help clarify and elevate FarmerJawn’s multifaceted mission. What began as a constellation of interconnected initiatives became a unified ecosystem with five core pillars—each working together to create a regenerative, community-rooted platform for food sovereignty and equity.

The Role of Branding & Storytelling

In partnership with our friends at @lynx_and_co, we helped shape a brand and storytelling system that captures the urgency, energy, and joy at the heart of FarmerJawn. The result is a movement that feels bold, grounded, and deeply human—inviting the next generation of growers, healers, and changemakers to dig in.

The Result

After relaunching the FarmerJawn brand, CEO Christa Barfield was a recipient of the 2024 James Beard Award for Leadership.
