So… what happened to the Unless Project?
The pilot happened—and it was powerful.
In 2024, we launched the first cohort of the Unless Project: a bold experiment in creative acceleration, where four nonprofits received $150K each in ALBC services to help them break through stall points and reimagine their brands. The results? Transformative. But also… telling.
The original model maxed out at four orgs. And it took twice as long as planned. That’s not a flaw—it’s a flag. We built the Unless Project to expand access to high-end strategy and creative firepower. So now, we’re reimagining the format to work for more people, on more timelines, with fewer barriers.
What’s next?
A new version of Unless—more scalable, more flexible, and designed to meet organizations where they are. It’s in the works. Stay tuned.
